Police say neighbours’ shootout led to man in hospital, another man in custody
A man is in hospital and another man is in custody after a shooting and police standoff in west end Toronto Escort Agency.
Police say the victim received injuries that are not life-threatening.
Emergency Task Force officers had surrounded a house on Boon Avenue this morning after a man in his 50s was shot in what police say was a dispute between neighbours.
Police say the suspect is of “senior age.”
A woman who was also taken into custody was not related to the shooting.
School bus driver Harvey Cameron says he called 911 after he came upon two men shooting at each while ducking behind cars.
“I didn’t know it was for real until I saw the blood on the guy’s shoulder,” he said.
Det. Insp. Richard Heggedus said a woman was also taken into custody but she was not related to the shooting.
“It’s alleged that the male in custody is the male who discharged shots.”
