Four arrested over fireworks, firearms on Victoria Day
Four people, including a teen girl, are facing charges in connection with the shooting of fireworks and firearms in the Jane Street and Sheppard Avenue West area at around 10:50 p.m. on May 24.
Police allege that individuals in the group began shooting fireworks at one another, with one man firing a handgun into the crowd, during the Victoria Day festivities. Witnesses spotted the group fleeing the scene in a vehicle.
Police pulled over a vehicle nearby and discovered two firearms inside.
Edgar Quidayan, 27, Roger Ali, 20, and Daniel Rodriguez Martinez, 18, face several charges, including unauthorized possession of a firearm and carrying a concealed weapon. Also charged is a 17-year-old female who cannot be named.
