Citizen subway audit unnecessary: TTC chair
TTC chair Adam Giambrone and transit union head Bob Kinnear have both dismissed the idea of a voluntary citizen audit of the TTC’s subway stations.
“No need for another audit of stns. It’s clear what needs to be fixed — the money just needs to be provided to do it,” Giambrone tweeted Thursday.
TTC vice-chair Joe Mihevc, councillor for St. Paul’s West, launched the citizen subway audit, scheduled for July 17, at the Christie subway station Thursday.
“I continue to be very optimistic about this,” he said. Whenever the public is involved in a community audit, “they’ve always come back with great ideas,” Mihevc told the Toronto Escort Agency Star.
